Self

Every time I post something I wonder on how various people might respond in public, and I often to some extent can by now anticipate the street theatre that I might potentially come across. However, I am still sometimes surprised by what people may come up with, the extent of business around me and sometimes the proximity. Yesterday I had the chance to witness the response my short post with references to the Self with a capital S (that essence or part of us that is not damaged or lost despite wounding and cultural programming); to how the mind and emotions like fear impact our health, and a humorous poem by Roald Dahl, elicited from certain people. Anyway, during my short walk, the idea for today’s post arose, inspired by what was going on in my surroundings. It is a continuation of the theme of Self as discussed by Richard Schwartz.
